Delta 8 THC

The cannabis plant, including hemp, has over 120 cannabinoids but only a handful of cannabis plants were successfully researched and commercialized. Let's take a closer look at Delta-9 THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and Delta-8 THC, his near relative, to see how they vary.

Delta 9 THC is the psychoactive compound present in cannabis which has gained the greatest attention in recent years. Nevertheless, customers have turned their attention to Delta 8 THC over the last couple of years due to its unusual properties.

The Difference Between Delta 8 THC And Delta 9 THC

Molecular: Delta 9 THC has a double bond on the 9th carbon chain at a molecular level while Delta 8 THC has a double bond on the 8th carbon chain at that. While this being an relatively minor disparity, it does produce positive results.

Availability: In the marijuana / cannabis plant, Delta 8 THC is less common than Delta 9 THC-only with recent technical advancements have we been able to extract Delta 8 THC so that it is accessible to the public.

Experience: Delta 8 THC has been shown to give Delta 9 THC a similar "high" but with less significant side effects. The high Delta 8 THC produced (compared to Delta 9 THC-the most common THC) is described as "less intense, gentle, friendly and manageable." On a more realistic basis, the Delta 8 THC highs are found to have less impairing effects on functionality.

Where To Buy Delta 8 THC and Cannabis Products

Sadly, Delta 8 goods probably won't be in your nearest pharmacy (as of the time we 're writing this article). Freshbros provides, however, has been able to take the cannabis plant and isolate Delta 8 THC to produce several products which include:

Delta 8 Gummies (vegan delta 8 infused gummies)

Delta 8 Vape Pens and Vape Cartridge

Delta 8 Distillate

In addition to delta 8 products, Freshbros has a whole suite of cannabis products that you can check out here.

How Delta 8 Products Are Made

Delta 8 THC distillate is made by allowing the cannabis / marijuana flora to go through the process of distillation.

The distillation process and the science that goes with it is proprietary knowledge, but the end result is that different components of the cannabis / marijuana plant can be isolated depending on what we produce. There are processes for distillation of various cannabinoids, oils, and THC forms.

The end result of the distillation process is Delta 8 THC's most active and purest form that can be legally purchased.

When we have delta 8 distillate, we can then give customers a broad variety of cannabis items from a vapor cartridge to terpenes, tinctures, an extract, or the distillate itself. Although many of our customers are end user consumers, other customers also include dispensaries that want to provide quality delta 8 products to their customers.

Delta 8 THC In The Endocannabinoid System

Delta-8 is being explored as an alternative to Delta-9 as it creates a high that is less extreme, gentle, friendly and manageable. As far as the endocannabinoid system is concerned, Delta-9 THC only activates the CB1 receptor while Delta-8 THC activates both the receptors CB1 and CB2. Activating both receptors is why many think Delta 8 THC has more advantages than Delta 9 THC.

Delta 8 THC - Notable Research, Benefits, And Effects

Nausea: As for Delta-8's medical effects, they are slightly different from Delta-9's. In research dating back to 1974 when cannabinoids were being investigated by Professor Raphael Mechoulam 1, the studies showed that Delta-8 is a effective activator of the immune system and reduced nausea in patients suffering from cancer drugs and chemotherapy treatments. Because of this, some people prefer Delta 8 THC to help with nausea and lack of appetite.

Cancer: Aya Abrahamov 's 1995 study showed that Delta 8 THC had shrunk cancer tumors.

Brain Function: Work also showed that Delta 8 THC increases brain function 3. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter which affects memory, cognition, excitement and neuroplasticity (neuroplasticity is the ability of your brains to adapt and learn new things). Researchers have shown that Delta 8 THC improves the acetylecholine neurotransmitter in the brain, with various types of THC increasing acetylcholine in different regions.

Anxiety and Pain: Several of the advantages of Delta 9 compare with the Delta 8. Evidence has shown that THC "significantly" relieved pain and decreased anxiety in a double blind clinical trial study.

Delta 8 Distillate

D8LTA Distillate is here!

Try some Delta-8 distillate in your vape carts, tinctures or add to other products of your choice. To learn more, read our Blog about Delta-8 here.

Delta-8 is a psychoactive rare cannabinoid with similar properties to Delta-9 THC. People who have tried Delta-8 say it has a similar body high as D-9 but keeps the mind clear and without the anxiety that some experience with D-9. So if you want to feel relaxed, clear headed and energized, try our D8LTA Distillate!

Drug Test Disclaimer: The lesser-known delta-8 THC is a double bond isomer of the more common delta-9 THC. Although it might not have the same strength of delta-9, delta-8 THC still has the ability of producing a high, with added therapeutic benefits. If you are required to drug test, take at your own risk.

What Is Delta-8-THC

Cannabis produces hundreds of medicinal compounds but none so special and common as Delta-9-THC, also known as THC alone. Renowned for its ability to relieve nausea, pain and sleeplessness, THC also provides an intense euphoric feeling as the only compound we know. Yet Delta-9 is not the only THC on the block in the chemical chain.

Delta-8-THC also comes up with only one acid chain ahead, and is a psychoactive compound that provides soothing qualities – but with a few key distinctions that might make Delta-8 even more common in future. The only thing is that this is very elusive.

Delta-8 THC is among hundreds of cannabinoids contained naturally in cannabis. It occurs in very small quantities, which is why it must be processed and refined by manufacturers into oils, edibles, tinctures, and other concentrates.

Like other cannabinoids, Delta-8 THC interacts with endocannabinoid system in the body. Unlike Delta-9 THC, Delta-8 has an affinity in the brain and nervous system to CB1 receptors which it binds to produce psychotropic effects. Despite some chemical variations between the two, when absorbed, Delta-8 interacts with the body nearly the same as Delta-9.

How Is DELTA-8-THC Different?

"Delta" refers, in chemistry, to the double bond in the molecular structure of the compound. Delta bonds have more electrons, and cannabinoids can interact differently with the body than single bond. The only difference between Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC is the location of that double bond on the chain of carbon atoms. Delta-8 on the 8th carbon chain has a double bond, and Delta-9 on the 9th carbon chain has a double bond. It tends to be a minor difference but it is sufficiently important to cause significantly different cognitive and physical results.

The Reported Benefits Of Delta-8-THC

Dr Raphael Mechoulam, a famous cannabis researcher, discovered Delta-8 in 1965. Since then, scientists experiment with the compound. Researchers found in 1975 that Delta-8 is capable of shrinking cancer tumors in rats. In 1995, Israeli scientists discovered that Delta-8 could have a profound effect on the treatment for pediatric cancer. After more than 480 high-dose Delta-8 THC therapies, 100 per cent of patients reported experiencing relief from nausea caused by chemotherapy.

Consumers registered a high feeling comparable to Delta-9 THC on a cognitive level but with a few key differences: unlike Delta-9, which can have a sedative effect, Delta-8 is more associated with clear-headed and energized feelings. It has tremendous consequences for patients and customers who enjoy THC's psychoactive and therapeutic effects but who want to work with more focus and clarity during the daytime.

Studies also suggest that Delta-8 could help the body produce a neurotransmitter that’s responsible for cognition, memory, arousal, and neuroplasticity.

Though work has been limited due to cannabis prohibition, what we know about Delta-8 is exciting for growers, manufacturers, patients and recreational users. As more people report a positive experience with Delta-8, along with a noticeable change in consumer behavior, we may see more products entering the market.

Can Delta 8 THC Get You High Like Delta 9 THC?

Delta-8 can definitely get you high, but not exactly like Delta-9 THC. According to the National Cancer Institute, Delta-8 THC shows "lower psychotropic potency" than Delta-9, and can bind with brain receptors differently than Delta-9, thereby explaining the impact variability. As such, consumers with Delta-8 THC have reported feeling less intense psychoactive effects. But still noticeable. Delta-8 users feel stimulation of the appetite, and euphoria – just not as profoundly as THC users do.

What Is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC is one of more than 100 cannabinoids present in cannabis. Processors extract and refine it, as it occurs naturally within the cannabis flower only in small quantities. Unlike other cannabinoids, it interacts with the endocannabinoid system of the body – specifically the nervous system's CB1 receptor – to bring its psychotropic effects to bear. Despite the variation in cannabis in the natural concentrations of Delta 8 and Delta 9, they communicate with the nervous system in a similar way when concentrated.

The Difference Between Delta 8 And Delta 9 THC?

Quick Chemistry lesson for the uninitiated: The name delta element refers to the double bond, and both Delta 8 and Delta 9 have double bonds, the difference being where the double bond is located. Organic chemistry deals with carbon atoms – tons of carbon atoms, their chains – and the respective "8" and "9" names in those canabinoids refer to the position of the dual (Delta) bond in the chain. Delta 9 has a double bond on the chain's 9th carbon, Delta 8 on its 8th. Therefore, what this actually comes down to is that a dual bond would have more electrons than single carbon bonds, and interact with the endocannabinoid system differently. This doesn't seem like a major difference, but the position of the double bond can be very important when we're talking about subatomic particles.

Delta-8 THC for Nausea and Appetite

One of delta-8 THC's most well-established applications is as an anti-emetic (nausea reducer) and a stimulant to appetite. In fact, U.S. patents on its use as an anti-emetic already exist. This approach is particularly useful for patients receiving cancer treatment who frequently experience nausea. It was also indicated as being especially well suited for youngsters.

Researchers gave delta-8 THC in one study to children aged 3–13 who were undergoing treatments for cancer. Those taking delta-8 THC were able to avoid vomiting, and had nausea levels improved. Interestingly, researchers have found these kids had no psychoactive effects from taking delta-8 THC. Although adults typically experience mild psychoactive effects with delta-8 THC, the children appear to be exempt from that particular effect in this study.

Delta-8 THC for Cancer

Also, Delta-8 THC was investigated for potential uses against cancer itself. One study has looked at lung cancer infected mice. Those that were treated with delta-8 THC for a 20-day duration had reportedly reduced tumor sizes by the end of their treatment. Researchers also found that survival time went up when delta-8 THC was used to treat mice with cancer.

We need to do more work to learn exactly how we can use delta-8 THC effectively in treating cancer. While more work needs to be done before we can treat cancer with delta-8 THC with confidence, these findings give hope that this cannabinoid will be of use in the ongoing battle against this disease.

Delta-8 THC for Memory

Delta-8 THC may also be a beneficial neuroprotectant in addition to managing appetite, nausea and probably cancer. It is an important development for dementia sufferers and Alzheimer's disease. One research showed mice being treated with delta-8 THC significantly raised their acetylcholine levels in the brain.

What Is Delta-8-THC

Cannabis is a plant that for thousands of years has evolved naturally in the wild. It is chocked full of chemical constituents – some of which are known as cannabinoids – that mesh with receptors across our entire body, eliciting a range of mental and physical effects. THC or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol is by far the most well-known of such cannabinoids, but it is definitely not the cannabis flower's only effective chemical compound. One of the four most common cannabinoids, Delta-8-THC is similar to its psychoactive relative THC but with several key differences.

Delta-8-THC is just a few atomic bonds chemically distinct from delta-9-THC, and still provides its own potent strong. Although delta-8-THC obviously only exists in fractions of a percent, companies see value in concentrating exotic cannabinoids for their specific effects and applications. Oleum Extracts, a top-tier cannabis extractor in Washington State, is currently producing a distillate cartridge named "AquaTek Delta-8 THC" which demonstrates these properties.

The Delta-8-THC 's effectiveness and stability

The Delta-8-THC 's effectiveness and stability make it an incredibly useful chemical compound derived from cannabis. The advantages and effects of the distillate represent both medicinal and recreational users alike, and it highlights the influence within cannabis of individual chemical constituents. When research identifies and refines the uses for the diverse array of cannabinoids from cannabis, we'll benefit from one puff at a time.

Delta-8 Therapeutic Benefits

Delta-8 is capable of binding both to the same CB1 receptor as with the delta-9 THC and the CB2 receptor. Anxiolytics are anxiety- inhibiting drugs. So delta-8 is much less likely than its more common relative, delta-9 THC, to cause anxiety at high doses.

Delta-8 THC has been shown to be 200 per cent more effective as an antiemetic compared to delta-9, according to studies and evidence on one of the cannabinoid 's patents. It has been found in some cases to be three to ten times less potent than delta-9.

Is Delta-8 THC Getting You High?

Like CBD you can get high by consuming delta-8 THC. Unlike the better known delta-9 THC, it is expected to be much less psychoactive, but with significant consequences. Users record a milder delta-9 THC form, infamous for its strong psychoactive effects. All bind to the same CB-1 cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system but, due to its slightly altered molecular structure, delta-8 THC appears to react differently. Users indicated a better elevation, less anxiety and less sedative influence. So THC delta-8 is psychoactive but much less than THC delta-9.

How Are You Taking Delta-8 THC?

Generally Delta-8 THC is produced in concentrate form. Because this happens in cannabis in very small quantities, it can be extracted and refined into a thick transparent liquid that looks like any CBD distillate. This is sold in bottles or syringes and a typical cannabis pen or dab rig can be used to vaporize this. The concentrate of Delta-8 can also be combined with the flower to kick up the level of potency to as much as 8THC. Because distillate is potentially edible, it can be eaten orally, but when metabolized within the body, not much work has been done on the effects of delta-8. Only a few oral tinctures infused with delta-8-THC (for sublingual use) are available.

For delta-8 THC concentrate below are the most common uses:

Vaping

Dabbing

Mixing with flower

Edibles

Sublingually

Research on delta-8-THC, which is tight, seems promising. Multiple patents currently exist for methods of processing certain 8THC concentrate. It may be an indicator that in the near future we could learn more about this cannabinoid which is not so well known.

Delta 8 THC vs Delta 9 THC – What is Delta 8 THC and What Does It Do? Freshbros

Introduction

Delta 8 THC

The cannabis plant, including hemp, has over 120 cannabinoids but only a handful have really been studied and marketed. Let’s take a closer look at Delta-9 THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and its close cousin Delta-8 THC, and learn how they differ.

Delta 9 THC is the psychoactive compound present in cannabis that has had the most attention in recent years. However, over the last couple of years consumers have turned their eyes to Delta 8 THC due to it’s unique properties.

The Difference Between Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC

So – what’s the difference between Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC?

There are 3 differences: There are the differences on a molecular level, differences in availability and there are the differences when it comes to experiencing the highs.

  • Molecular: On a molecular level Delta 9 THC has a double bond on the 9th carbon chain whereas Delta 8 THC has a double bond on the 8th carbon chain. Despite this being a seemingly small difference, it yields big results.
  • Availability: Delta 8 THC is less abundant than Delta 9 THC in the marijuana / cannabis plant – only with recent technological advances have we been able to isolate Delta 8 THC for it to be publicly available.
  • Experience: Delta 8 THC has been shown to give a similar “high” to Delta 9 THC but with less severe side-effects. The high produced by Delta 8 THC (in comparison to Delta 9 THC – which is the most common THC) is described as “less intense, gentle, enjoyable and manageable”.  On a more practical level, the highs from Delta 8 THC are found to have less functionality-impairing effects.

Where to buy Delta 8 THC & Cannabis Products

Unfortunately, you probably will not Delta 8 products at your local dispensary (as of the time we’re writing this article). However, Freshbros provides has been able to take the cannabis plant and isolate Delta 8 THC to create several products that include:

Delta 8 Gummies (vegan delta 8 infused gummies)

Delta 8 Vape Pens and Vape Cartridge

Delta 8 Distillate

In addition to delta 8 products, Freshbros has a whole suite of cannabis products that you can check out here.

Delta 8 Distillate – How Delta 8 Products are Made

Delta 8 THC distillate is made by allowing the cannabis / marijuana flower to go through the distillation process.

The distillation process and the science that goes with it is proprietary knowledge, but the end result is that we’re able to isolate different components of the cannabis / marijuana plant depending on what we’re producing. There are distillation processes for different cannabinoids, oils, and forms of THC.

Is Delta 8 Legal?

The end product of the distillation process is the most potent and pure form of Delta 8 THC that can be legally acquired.

Cannabis Distillation – What Manufacturers do With It

Once we have delta 8 distillate, we’re then able to offer consumers a wide array of cannabis products from something such as a vape cartridge, to terpenes, tinctures, an oil, or the distillate itself. While many of our clients are end user consumers, other clients also include dispensaries who want to provide their customers with quality delta 8 products.

Delta 8 THC in the Endocannabinoid System

Delta-8 is being discovered as an alternative to Delta-9 since it produces a less intense, gentle, enjoyable and manageable high. As far as the endocannabinoid system, Delta-9 THC only activates the CB1 receptor whereas, Delta-8 THC activates both the CB1 and CB2 receptors. The activation of both receptors is why many believe Delta 8 THC has more benefits than Delta 9 THC.

Delta 8 THC – Notable Research, Benefits, and Effects

  • Nausea: As far as therapeutic benefits of Delta-8, they are considerably different than those of Delta-9. In studies dating back to 1974 when cannabinoids were being studied by Professor Raphael Mechoulam 1, the studies found that Delta-8 is an powerful immune system activator and eliminated nausea in patients who were ill from cancer medications and chemotherapy treatments. Because of this, some people prefer Delta 8 THC to help with nausea and lack of appetite.
  • Cancer: It was shown in a 1995 study by Aya Abrahamov 2 that Delta 8 THC shrunk cancer tumors.
  • Brain Function: Research has also shown that Delta 8 THC improves brain function 3. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that effects memory, cognition, arousal, and neuroplasticity (neuroplasticity is your brains ability to adapt and learn new things). Studies found that Delta 8 THC increases the neurotransmitter acetylecholine in the brain, with different forms of THC increasing acetylcholine in different areas.
  • Anxiety and Pain: Several of Delta 9’s benefits overlap with Delta 8. In a double blind clinical trial study, research found that THC “significantly” relieved pain and reduced anxiety 4.

The Future of Delta 8 THC

Due to the less sever psychoactive effects, Delta-8 can treat a wider range of cancer patients since it’s better at combating a lack of appetite than Delta-9. And some cancer patients don’t use Delta-9 due to the panic they feel when the take it. Delta-8 has fewer discomforting side effects so it can treat a wider range of cancer patients. When CBD is added to Delta-8 it diminishes the psychotropic affects even more, so you get the benefits of Delta-8 along with CBD with little to no high.

Legality of Delta 8

Another positive about Delta-8 THC is that it is legal in any state that marijuana and hemp derived CBD is legal medically or recreationally. Delta-8 falls into a kind of regulatory gray area since it can be obtained from both the hemp and marijuana plants and can be converted from CBD which has zero Delta-9 THC present. If there are traces of Delta-9 THC present, it needs to be below the federally regulated level of 0.3%.

As a result, extractors and manufacturers have begun to isolate this cannabinoid and convert CBD into Delta-8 and are adding to many products since it features some special effects not seen with other cannabinoids.

Moving forward, we expect to see Delta 8 THC take the spotlight for recreational users as it gives many of the health and experience benefits but without the impairing effects of Delta 9 THC.

We’re also expecting traditional cannabis or marijuana products to (brownies, gummies, vape, oil, dab, and more) to become available infused with Delta 8 where science permits.

Delta 8 THC in United States Patents

US Patents the following is stated:

**Note: The “Δ” symbol is pronounced “delta”.

Δ8-THC, for the most part, produces similar psychometric effects as does Δ9-THC, but is generally considered to be 50% less potent

[Δ8-THC] “has been shown in some cases to be 3-10 times less potent

Δ8-THC has also been shown to be more (200%) effective an anti-emetic than Δ9-THC

Further Delta 8 THC Research

Cannabis research has recently been legalized in specific states. Because of this, new research on cannabis is proliferate. The effects derived from the plant are amazing and people want to know if there are other benefits or side effects that we don’t know about yet.

Delta 8 THC Review

What is Delta 8 THC?

Cannabis Flower

Delta 8 THC is an isolated cannabinoid that’s rising in popularity due to it’s unique properties. Users enjoy Delta 8 THC because it provides you with a calming effect without dulling your senses and gives a smooth buzz without any paranoia. This means that Delta 8 THC has the potential of becoming the first cannabinoid to not impair function while providing the benefits of THC.

So what is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC one of 100 different cannabinoid that can be isolated through an extraction process. Delta 8 THC receives its name because of a double bond found in the 8th carbon chain.

While there is a Delta 9 THC, the molecular difference is that the double bond is found on the 9th carbon chain as opposed to the 8th carbon chain. Later we will cover the difference between Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC.

Where to buy Delta 8 THC Products

What Makes Delta 8 THC Different From the Other 100+ Cannabinoids?

Delta 8 Gumies

Unlike the hundreds of other cannabinoids, Delta 8 THC has the least averse side effects and does not impair function as much as the other cannabinoids do. Because it comes with all of the benefits of THC without the side effects, it’s one of the most sought after cannabinoids.

What Questions Should Consumers be asking about Delta 8?

Delta 8 THC Distillate

The main questions consumers should be asking about Delta 8 THC are the ones we’ve attempted to answer in this article. We’ve covered the major concerns consumers have about Delta 8 THC, but if you have any more feel free to email us or leave a comment – we will be happy to answer.

How Does Delta 8 Affect Your Body?

Delta 8 THC Gummies Buy Online

So far, 2 receptors have been discovered in your body that work with cannabinoids. These 2 receptors are the CB1 receptor and CB2 receptor. Delta 8 THC has an affinity for the CB1 receptor which is more associated with psychotropic effects.

Due to the difference in molecular structure from Delta 9 THC, Delta 8 THC is able to bind with the CB1 receptor in a way that produces a high without as much impairment to other functions.

Delta 8 THC Vs Delta 9 THC

Delta 8 THC Online

Delta 8 THC vs Delta 9 THC – which is better and what’s the difference?

Experience wise, Delta 8 THC provides the same benefits that Delta 9 THC does but with less impairing effects. The greatest benefit to Delta 8 THC is being able to enjoy the benefits of THC without any of the function impairing effects, thus making it an incredibly popular form of consumption.

On a molecular level, the the difference between Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC is that Delta 8 THC has a double bond on the 8th carbon chain where as Delta 9 THC has the double bond on the 9th carbon chain. No creativity awards were handed out to the people who named these compounds.

Delta 8 THC is an isolated cannabinoid that provides the benefits of THC without it’s impairing functions. Because of that, most of the benefits of Delta 8 THC overlap with Delta 9 and other forms of THC.

The US National Cancer Institute has been researching how cannabinoids can help cancer patients. While research is relatively new, THC is already looking promising with several benefits.

Delta 8 Vs Nausea

Delta 8 THC Vape Pen

According to clinical trials, THC has shown to be a better antiemetic agent than other products available on the market. As long as 3 decades ago (1986), research has shown that Delta 9 (and now, Delta 8) THC can be used to treat nausea and vomiting.

Delta 8 Vs Anxiety

Anxiolytics are medications that reduce anxiety. Cannabinoids in general have been found to have anxiolytic effects. Not to sound repetitive, but where Delta 8 THC stands out is that it comes with anxiolytic effects without impairing function.

Additionally, in dozens of clinic trials, cancer patients who were administered cannabis reported lower levels of depression, anxiety, moodiness and reported having better sleep.

Delta 8 THC Vs Pain and Inflammation

Delta 8 THC

In 1988, researchers discovered the first cannabinoid receptor in the brain, known as CB1. 5 years later in 1993, they discovered a second receptor known as CB2. These receptors became part of what’s known as the endocannabinoid system which helps regulate things such as sleep, mood, appetite, memory, and reproductive fertility.

However, the endocannabinoid system is natural to the body and operates with natural, body-produced chemicals. THC plays a role in that it binds to these two receptors and elicits different effects.

Delta 8 THC as well as other forms of THC have been found to control pain, movement, feeding behavior, mood, bone growth, neuroprotection, memory, and yes, inflammation.

Delta 8 THC Vs Lack of Appetite

As stated before, Delta 8 THC servers as an antiemetic agent. This means that it combats nausea and can increase appetite, like other forms of THC.

Potential Side Effects of Delta 8 THC

Although compared to Delta 9 THC, it has way less adverse effects, Delta 8 THC is a form of THC nevertheless. This means that yes, there is a psychoactive component to Delta 8 THC – although not as pronounced as Delta 9 THC.

Regarding other side effects, if there are any, researchers have not discovered them yet. If new research is published showing adverse or unexpected side effects, we’ll make sure to keep this section updated.

Delta 8 THC

Delta 8 THC is a very talked-about cannabinoid product.  Working in this industry there is a lot of talk around Delta 8 THC.  This seems to be a pretty popular cannabinoid product.  It is said to have a very calming effect but you still have your wits about you.  It is a smooth buzz without any paranoia going on.

Delta 8 THC is one of 100 different cannabinoids found in cannabis.  The extraction process is used to gather it.  It reacts with the nervous system in a manner that calms the system.  It typically allows the user to continue with concentration but without the high anxiety.

Delta 8 THC is called this because of a double bond found in its molecular structure.  This double bond is found in the 8th carbon chain  While there is a Delta 9 THC has that same double bond but you guessed it at the 9th carbon chain in its molecular structure. The Delta 8 THC allows the user to feel more in control and that of the Delta 9 THC.  Because of this, it has gained quite a bit of attention in the medical community.  It could be something that could be used on patients with heightened anxiety.   Yet, they could still function in a working environment.  There are other amazing medical potentials with Delta 8 THC too.

Studies about Cannabis products.

The US National Cancer Institute has been doing studies on it.  We all know that cancer patients have found relief in all kinds of things with the help of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).  It acts as an antiemetic, which means that it inhibits nausea and vomiting which cancer patients suffer from.  Their bodies greatly need the nutrients that you get from food.  So, this is a great discovery and it also helps aid in maintaining normal life in general.  There are, of course, other medical conditions that this could aid with as well.

Delta 8 THC is also a great anxiolytic, which means that it helps with anxiety and panic attacks.  It has a calming effect but doesn’t mess with the person’s ability to think and communicate effectively.  Delta 8 THC is also an appetite-stimulating drug, which helps cancer patients and other patients with medical needs to keep up their strength during the time of treatment.  It is also neuroprotective, which helps prevent the aging of nerve cells. It works by binding the CB1 and CB2 receptors.  This means that people have less psychotropic instances but still get the other benefits.

Cannabis helps kids too.

This is one form of cannabinoid product that has been patented in the US.  Its combined effectiveness of helping the patient not be so nauseated and stimulating appetite is important to help them to recover.  Well, we often think of adult cancer patients when we are talking about cannabis helping patients.  Delta 8 THC has also been tested and approved on kids.  Children often find relief from vomiting and nausea to the point that the symptoms are almost gone.  In fact, in Israeli, researchers have found that they can use it in higher doses of Delta 8 THC in children and still don’t see the psychoactivity that often we see in the Delta 9 strand.  It seems that children are immune to this particular side effect of Delta 8 THC.

Most Delta 8 THC is found in dried flowers.  Nevertheless, it is at such a low concentration that users cannot reap the benefits via the traditional methods.  Delta 8 THC should not be made into edibles as the digestive track turns it into Delta 11 THC, which then people see no actual benefit from it.  You will most likely find it in a vapable form or sublingual drops.

While Delta 9 THC is the most common form of THC found within the plant.  When people talk about THC, they are generally referring to Delta 9 THC.   However, there are primary cannabinoids, cannabidiol (CBD) we have foundational knowledge of.  But, we know little about the minor, secondary, and other cannabinoids.  Delta 8 is considered a minor cannabinoid.  Because there are such low concentrations of it found in the plant, the growers have to breed plants that will produce more by selective breeding.

Side effects and warnings

Because Delta 8 THC is a minor cannabinoid, there isn’t a lot known about it.  However, they are certainly testing and performing studies to learn more about it.  Because of this, there are certain warnings and side effects you should be aware of.  Most of what we know about it is based on animal studies.  However, apparently animals are affected completely differently by the drug that is humans.  In animals, it apparently would make their blood pressure increase, by constricting the blood vessels.  It was found that it slowed the heart rate in some animals but increased the heart rate in humans.   However, there are such limited amounts of data that it is hard to know what effects it has on most people.

Medical Marijuana

While medical marijuana has been around for at least the past decade.  Most of what they are talking about is CBD oils or Delta 9 THC.  There has been little discussion about Delta 8 THC, however, it certainly is an option.  This option is also extracted from Delta 9 THC in a very complex process.  They do this because people like the feeling of calmness and they feel more in tune with themselves but aren’t necessarily looking for that high feeling that you get with Delta 9 THC.  The effects of Delta 8 THC helps people with medical issues as it increases appetite, helps with nausea and anxiety.  These three combined help many medical patients simply feel better while undergoing treatment.

The natural form of medicine.

It is a very natural form of medication that has been around for years.  The long term effects and such are not known with Delta 8 THC as they are with CBD and Delta 9 THC.  This is due to there haven’t been enough studies done on it.  It has just been in the last decade or so that we have seen this sort of treatment embraced by the medical community as a whole.  In fact, we are even seeing it being legalized not just for medical treatment but in recreational forms.  When the government lifted the ban, there were more possibilities for treatment studies, studies of the growing methods, and better understanding overall about the medicinal help it could provide.

Studies Conducted Post Legalization

With the ban lifted and cannabis has been legalized, the possibilities and varying strengths are endless.  This will help further the testing and technology that is used to help people get the natural medicine that they need.  There are regulations in place so that people actually know what they are actually getting at the dispensaries and other places where you find the various oils. This is very beneficial to the medical community and we expect to see further information transpire over the years as they discover more of the minor THC strains that are found within the plant.

As the on-going restrictions start to open up the possibilities for growers to have an easier time experimenting with the plants.  They can have access to more information and studies can be done to help them grow plants that produce higher Delta 8 THC and less Delta 9 THC.  They can use more energy in learning and understanding how to grow the plant and less energy on hiding it from authorities.

Delta 8 THC can help with mental issues

It is thought that Delta 8 helps patients produce neurotransmitters which is called Acetylcholine.  This neurotransmitter is responsible for:

  • neuroplasticity
  • cognition
  • arousal
  • memory

Furthermore, it seems to help people that get no relief from CBD or those with a low tolerance for THC.  It has been a great drug for those with panic disorders, PTSD, and other mental issues that cause anxiety.  Delta 8 THC has been used by medical facilities across the country for patients that have nausea or stomach issues too.  It has been tested and helps those with traumatic brain injuries as well.  It helps patients that have been menstrual cramps and are great for hangovers.  Actually many people perfect Delta 9 THC over alcohol as you do get that high feeling without the hangover.

Another medical use for Delta 8 THC is helping those that are suffering from low libido.  Low libido can cause many problems in a relationship.  When there are problems in a relationship, anxiety, and depression can set it.  Delta 8 THC is great for that as well.

Fewer impairments

Delta 8 THC has lower impairment properties, however, some people still get the effects of impairment.  So, just like anything else, if you have never tried it, you are going to need to go on a test run.  Start with a little and give it time to ensure you don’t overdo it.  Be sure that you have someone there with you, just in case something goes very wrong or you have an adverse reaction to the Delta 8 THC.

There are all kinds of Delta 8 THC products already on the market today.  Remember, that if you eat or drink it, the digestive tract will change it to a Delta 11, which is completely different and will have a different effect than that of what we speak here.

When you are looking at trying a new type of drug whether it is for medical reasons or recreational, you certainly should do your research to understand what to expect.  There are some drugs that are certainly far more addicting than that with drugs from cannabis.  Most people who seek out CBD or THC products have pain that they are trying to escape from. This pain quite often is physical and they are undergoing medical treatment that is making life unbearable.  However, others seek it out for pleasure and help with mental pain, which seems to provide help for both.

Beneficial properties

It really has some very beneficial properties to improve life and yet allow you to be able to think and comprehend.  Some people like to use it to get more in tune with themselves.  As the calming nature takes effect they even feel as if they can stay more focused and get more things done without all the anxiety getting in their way.

Try it to see the effects it has on you.

If you are a person with high anxiety and even ADHD, cannabis products may help you in a number of ways.  Of course, Delta 9 has more “getting high” properties than that of the Delta 8 THC in general.  But, you don’t know what you will feel until you try it.  If you have never tried any of the cannabis line up, then you need to research which strand and type would be best for you.

There are Various Ways to Ingest Cannabis Products

There are many ways to take cannabis.  All forms affect each person a little differently.  Some people prefer to smoke it or use a vaping pen.  While others would rather eat edibles and enjoy that feeling more.  There are even topical solutions, which we find a lot of in the CBD market.  And, Cannabis Tinctures are another way that it is consumed.

While vaping and smoking deliver the THC faster than some of the other methods.  It is also the most common way people use cannabis.  Smoking devices such as hookahs have been around for centuries.  There are of course rolled joints, and some even get super creative with what they can find laying around the house.  This form can leave some negative effects on your lungs.  However, if you purchase a high dose of THC, it will deliver faster and you have to puff less.

Vaping is the latest trend and is a wonderful way to deliver the drug.  It is also the way to a stronger high.  This, of course, is for Delta 9 strains.  But, it can be used in Delta 8 as well.

Other methods of taking Delta 8 THC

Edibles can produce some of the strongest and longest-lasting highs.  This should not be a delivery method of Delta 8 strain though, as it will turn to a different chemical altogether.  Edibles do not react immediately.  In fact, it could take up to two hours before you have a reaction.  Once the edible hits your liver, the Delta 11 THC is born and that’s where the fun begins.

If you want to control your dosage better, then you should look into Cannabis tinctures, where you can consume with some drops under your tongue.

Delta 8 THC Source

What is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC is an endogenous cannabinoid, which is growing in popularity because of its unusual properties. Delta 8 THC is loved by consumers as it gives you a relaxing effect without dulling your senses and offers a smooth buzz without anxiety. Which means Delta 8 THC has the ability to become the first cannabinoid not to hinder operation when delivering THC 's benefits.

But what is THC in Delta 8?

Delta 8 THC is one of 100 distinct cannabinoids, which can be isolated by extraction. Delta 8 THC takes its name from a double bond found in the 8th carbon chain. While there is a Delta 9 THC, in contrast to the 8th carbon chain the molecular difference is that the double bond is found on the 9th carbon chain. We'll later cover the gap between THC Delta 8 and Delta 9.

Delta 8 THC products exist in 3 main forms. These include:

  1. Delta 8 Infused Vegan Gummies
  2. Delta 8 Disposable Vape
  3. Delta 8 Distillate

How is Delta 8 THC Distillate Made?

How Delta 8 THC Distillate is produced begins with the process of cannabis flower fractional distillation. The Delta 8 THC is then extracted to transform Delta 9 THC into Delta 8 THC using our patented methods. We can isolate pure Delta 8 THC during this process by removing any impurities and imperfections. The end result is Delta 8 THC's most active and purest form that can be legally obtained.

Delta 8 THC has the least averse side effects, unlike the hundreds of other cannabinoids, and does not affect function as much as the other cannabinoids. Since it is one of the most sought after cannabinoids as it comes with all the advantages of THC without the side effects.

The key questions that customers should ask about Delta 8 THC are the ones that we've tried to address in this post. We've covered the big questions customers have about Delta 8 THC, but if you feel free to send us an email or leave a comment, we'll be happy to reply.

What Questions About Delta 8 Will Consumers Be Asking?

The main questions consumers should be asking about Delta 8 THC are the ones we’ve attempted to answer in this article. We’ve covered the major concerns consumers have about Delta 8 THC, but if you have any more feel free to email us or leave a comment – we will be happy to answer.

How Is Delta 8 Impacting Your Body?

So far 2 receptors have been found interacting with cannabinoids in your body. The CB1 receptor and the CB2 receptor are such 2 receptors. Delta 8 THC is more concerned with psychotropic symptoms and has an affinity for the CB1 receptor. Although of the variation in molecular structure from Delta 9 THC, Delta 8 THC will bind to the CB1 receptor in a way that creates a high without too much damage on other functions.

Delta 8 THC Vs Delta 9 THC

Delta 8 THC versus Delta 9 THC-what 's better and what's the difference? Experience wise, Delta 8 THC offers the same advantages as Delta 9 THC but with fewer harmful effects. The biggest advantage for Delta 8 THC is being able to reap the advantages of THC without any of the impairing effects of the drug making it an extremely common form of consumption.

At a molecular level, the distinction between Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC is that Delta 8 THC has a double bond on the 8th carbon chain, where the dual bond on the 9th carbon chain as Delta 9 THC has. The people who named those compounds were not granted innovation awards.

What are the Potential Health Benefits of Delta 8 THC?

*This section is often updated to encompass new published research.

Delta 8 THC is an endogenous cannabinoid that provides THC 's benefits without its impairing functions. That is why most of Delta 8 THC 's benefits overlap with Delta 9 and other forms of THC. The US National Institute for Cancer has been studying how cannabinoids can benefit patients with cancer. While work is fairly new, THC already looks promising with many benefits.

Potential Side Effects of Delta 8 THC

Though it has much less adverse effects compared to Delta 9 THC, Delta 8 THC is a form of THC nonetheless. That means yes, Delta 8 THC has a psychoactive component-although not as pronounced as Delta 9 THC. As for other side effects, if any, they have not yet been discovered by researchers. If new research showing adverse or unexpected side effects is published we will ensure that this section is kept up to date.

Delta 8 Vs Nausea

THC has proved to be a better antiemetic agent than other drugs used in the industry, according to clinical trials. Delta 9 (and now Delta 8) THC can be used to treat nausea and vomiting as long as 3 decades ago (1986), work has shown.

Delta 8 Vs Anxiety

Anxiolytics are anxiety-lowering drugs. In general it was found that cannabinoids have anxiolytic effects. Not to sound redundant, but where Delta 8 THC stands out, it comes with anxiolytic effects without the task being affected. In fact, cancer patients who were given cannabis showed lower rates of depression , anxiety, moodiness and recorded improved sleep in hundreds of clinical trials.

Delta 8 THC

Delta 8 THC is a much thought about cannabinoid. There's a lot of conversation about the Delta 8 THC operating in this industry. It seems to be a very popular drug for cannabinoids. It's claimed to have a really soothing impact but you've got your wits about you too. It's a steady buzz, with no paranoia. Delta 8 THC is among 100 cannabinoids present in cannabis. It is gathered using the extraction technique. It responds to the nervous system in a way that calms down the body. Typically it allows the user to proceed with focus, but without the great anxiety.

It is called Delta 8 THC because of the double bond that is present in its molecular structure. This double bond is found in the 8th carbon chain While a Delta 9 THC has that same double bond, you guessed it in its molecular structure at the 9th carbon chain. The Delta 8 THC lets the user feel more in control and the Delta 9 THC's. This has received quite a bit of coverage in the scientific world because of this. This may be useful to use on patients with elevated anxiety. But in a working environment they could still act. For Delta 8 THC, there are other amazing therapeutic potentials too.

Studies on Products Made from Cannabis.

Studies on it were carried out by the US National Cancer Institute. We all know patients with cancer have sought relief with the aid of tetrahydrocannabinol ( THC) in all sorts of things. It functions as an antiemetic which means it prevents the nausea and vomiting experienced by cancer patients. Their bodies are in great need of the nutrients you extract from milk. So this is a great discovery and it also helps to keep normal life in general. Of course there are other medical conditions with which this could help as well.

Even Delta 8 THC is a powerful anxiolytic, meaning it helps with anxiety and panic attacks. This has a relaxing impact but does not mess with the ability of the individual to think effectively and to communicate. Delta 8 THC is also an appetite-stimulating drug which helps patients with cancer and other patients with medical needs to maintain their strength during the treatment period. It is also neuroprotective which helps prevent nerve cells from getting older. It works by binding the receptors CB1 and CB2. It means that people have fewer cases of psychotropy but still get the other benefits.

Delta 8 THC Improves Mental Health Issues

It is thought that Delta 8 helps patients produce neurotransmitters which is called Acetylcholine. This neurotransmitter is responsible for:

  • neuroplasticity
  • cognition
  • arousal
  • memory

This also tends to benefit those who don't get any relief from CBD or those with poor tolerance to THC. It was a perfect treatment for people with anxiety-causing panic disorders, PTSD and other psychiatric issues. Medical facilities around the country used Delta 8 THC for patients with nausea or stomach problems, too. It has been studied and also supports those with traumatic brain injuries. It helps patients with menstrual cramps, and it is perfect for hangovers. Most people really perfect Delta 9 THC over alcohol and without the hangover you get the high feeling.

A further therapeutic use for Delta 8 THC is to support those with low libido. Low libido can cause a lot of relationship problems. When there are problems in a relationship, anxiety, and depression can set it. Delta 8 THC is great for that as well.

Beneficial Properties

It really has some very beneficial properties to make life better, and yet allows you to think and understand. Some people enjoy using it so they can be more in touch with themselves. As the soothing aspect takes effect they also feel as though they can remain more focused and do more things without getting in the way of all the anxiety.

Try it to see the effects it has on you.

When you're a person with a high degree of anxiety, and even ADHD, cannabis products can benefit you in several ways. Of example, Delta 9 has more "moving big" properties overall than the Delta 8 THC's. Yet, once you try this, you don't know what you'll do. If you've never tried any of the cannabis line-ups, then you need to investigate which strand and form is best for you.
